Meet The Team

John has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for creating customer value. John leads the immediac team as a strategist in solving business challenges with cloud, database technology, social media and search engine optimization. Since launching immediac in 1998, John has focused the team on helping customers achieve business objectives using the most efficient technology. John has over 30 years of experience in software development, SEO, public speaking, technology solutions and delivering technology solutions for organizations of all sizes.

John enjoys many outdoor activities, his favourite being kite surfing - which he believes is the “purest form of sailing.” John is an enthusiastic chess player and a handyman - he is currently working on his sailboat.

Caitlin started at immediac in 2020 as part of an NSCC work term. She came back as a full-time employee in the spring of 2021 as the team's new account manager. She became immediac's first Vice President in 2023 as her role expanded to include sales, marketing, strategy, and more. She continues to use her diverse background in web development and customer service to communicate with clients and ensure that their unique visions are realized.

Caitlin’s interests outside of work lie in both video games and programming - sometimes mixing the two. She dabbles in many video games, but has a particular passion for Animal Crossing. Caitlin also is the proud creator of an online trading card based video game. She enjoys travel, and has visited both the U.S. and Asia on multiple occasions. Her cat, Walter, keeps her company while she's crocheting and watching reality TV.

Allie graduated from NSCC’s Office Administration program in 2017, and joined immediac in June of that year. She wears many hats and handles accounting, payroll, HR, testing and launching websites, and much more. She strives to keep immediac organized.

Outside of work, Allie is an avid reader. She always has two or three books on the go. In 2020, Allie set and achieved her goal of reading 100 books. She also loves hiking - both on the trail beside her family home and on new trails which she loves to explore. 

Kiah came to the immediac team after working alongside entrepreneurs for the last seven years, both as a receptionist and as a project manager. Although she started out pursuing education in the music industry, she’s found that her calling actually lies on the administrative side of things. As immediac’s Client Care Representative she’s an expert at triaging any and all requests that come across the support desk, making sure all of our clients’ websites stay up-to-date and fresh!

Outside of work, Kiah is a huge horror aficionado - whether it's video games, movies, or books, she loves to be spooked. She lives with her husband and their 15-pound dachshund Lucian, who’s very lucky to be one of the most spoiled boys on earth.

Todd attended St. Mary’s to complete his B.Comm, then pivoted to Munin Multimedia for web development and video integration in 2000. He joined the immediac team in 2008.

Todd brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years in the multimedia and design fields. A forward thinker with a keen eye for detail, he has a reputation in the industry for being able to use web development tools and technologies to create pixel-perfect projects. As a senior designer, he works directly with our content management system, immediaCMS, using CSS and HTML to develop progressively-designed websites.

Todd is an experienced musician, having toured across the country with both Lenny Gallant and Ron Hynes. He has made multiple CDs and is still in a band. Todd also enjoys fly fishing - he even ties his own flies.

Amanda attended Georgian College, where she took Web Design and Animation. She graduated in 2013 and reached out to immediac to offer her services. She’s been part of the immediac team ever since. She excels in developing customer-centric designs that bring forth the emotion and passion within the project. She is focused on new and responsive technologies.

Amanda enjoys going to the gym, painting, and is interested in genealogy - she has traced a direct link between her family and one of the oldest clans in Scotland. She has a cat, Fred, who sometimes makes an appearance in video meetings.

Daniel worked as a co-op Application Developer one summer at immediac while studying at Dalhousie University. Years later, once he had graduated with a Bachelor of Computer Science, he joined immediac once again, this time as a Software Engineer before ultimately growing into the Chief Technical Officer for the company. He is always looking for opportunities to make immediac’s practices more efficient and practical.

Daniel has over six years of experience and his approach to software development has allowed immediac to deliver the highest quality products available. He has an unparalleled attention to detail and leadership skills.

Ellen began her career with immediac as a co-op student while studying computer science at Dalhousie. As soon as she graduated, she was hired as a developer, officially becoming a full-time team member in 2022. Her specialty lies in software and web-app development in .Net C#.

Outside of work, one of Ellen's favourite things is exploring the city and discovering new restaurants and things to eat! She loves to read and go for walks to de-stress. 

Alex joined immediac as a co-op student in 2019 and later became a full-time team member after graduating from Dalhousie University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Computer Science. As lead iOS developer, he's worked on a variety of apps, including the Tilepix iOS app, Abbvie Gastro app, and Dwellify iOS App. His innate talent for crafting intuitive, user-friendly experiences and his dedication to perfection make him an invaluable asset to the immediac team.

Alex enjoys programming in his spare time - focusing on video game engine design. Alex has played piano since he was 7 and still enjoys making music. In the summer, he swims and bikes, and occasionally enjoys a game of basketball. Alex has an adorable black cat named Mici.

Nick graduated from the NSCC Institute of Geographic Sciences in 2019. He was a combat engineer in the Canadian Armed forces and an Android Developer at IBM before coming to immediac in December of 2020. His specialty is Android development in Kotlin but he has proven to be flexible and adaptable in other areas of development, including .Net.

Nick enjoys the great outdoors. He’s a fan of hunting - a family tradition in which he has taken part since he was 12. He and his family also enjoy ATVing. They go on yearly rides that can include up to 20 bikes! Nick lives with his partner Lauren and their two daughters. They have two dogs, Dakota (a chocolate lab) and Rico (English Springer Spaniel) and a cat, Grayson. 

Baljeet graduated from Lovely Professional University in Punjab with a Masters of Computer Application. He worked as an Android Application Developer at Eternity Solutions in Mississauga before joining immediac in February 2021. He has worked on many Android projects and learned multiple new languages to contribute to .Net projects and more.

In his spare time, Baljeet enjoys creating mobile games for Android, a hobby that he first picked up during his time at Eternity Solutions. He also enjoys a game of 8-ball and reading cosmology books. If you’re looking for recommendations, he recently read Stephen Hawking’s “The Grand Design.” 

After completing a co-op placement with immediac in the summer of 2022, Matt went on to graduate from the NSCC IT Campus with a diploma in IT Programming in 2023. He continued to hone his development skills at Eastlink before returning to join the immediac team full-time in 2024. With a strong foundation in .Net development, Matt plays a key role in delivering high-performance software solutions for immediac’s clients.

Outside of work, Matt is an avid golfer who enjoys both playing and watching the sport. A tech enthusiast, he hosts video game servers and explores a variety of games in his downtime. When not on the green or in the digital realm, Matt enjoys tackling home improvement projects and hanging out with his two cats, Marshall and Simon.

Anastasiya joined immediac after graduating from Dalhousie University with a degree in Computer Science in 2025. She first worked with us as an Application Developer co-op in 2023 and has also completed co-ops with the Department of National Defence and Environment Canada, as well as freelance work with Outlier, giving her experience across a wide range of projects.

When she’s not coding, Anastasiya enjoys oil painting and culinary arts. She runs a cooking channel on YouTube with her partner, where they share recipes and cook together.

Brian joined immediac in 2025 as a Product Manager after completing his NSCC work term with the company. A graduate of the Full Stack Application Development program, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Dalhousie University and studied multimedia design at McKenzie College. With over 25 years in the tech industry, Brian has worked in roles ranging from Flash developer to product designer and product manager at well-known local companies like Brave New World and Proposify.

When not working to bring client visions to life, Brian enjoys playing guitar, reading comic books, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers during NFL season.
